Question of the Day: Your Dream Netbook? (Plus Survey Contest)

First off, our friends at IDG Tech Network are conducting a survey here, which offers a chance at winning an Xbox 360 Elite console just by completing it.

Next, with an Apple Netbook rumored to be launching within the next few months, what would you like to see included in the feature list? Or, just your dream netbook in general? Personally, I’d like a multi-touch display along with a comfortable keyboard that is easy to type on — throw in a 128GB SSD as well. Leave your replies in the section. Enter here for the survey contest.

Zeebo: The 3G Game Console for Emerging Countries

Set for launch in Brazil, the Zeebo combines “fast 3G wireless digital distribution and a simple yet elegant business model — [will reach] gamers directly with some top titles such as Street Fighter Alpha.” Video after the break.
And Namco and THQ are also publishing titles. Apparently, the idea of distributing games easily to millions of poor kids in emerging countries is an attractive proposition for these powerhouses.

eBay Watch: Used PowerBook G4 Comes Loaded with Adult-Only Extras

This used PowerBook G4 on eBay is not just a functional laptop, but comes loaded with lots of adult-only extras in the form of movies. One caveat: “there’s one light scratch on the bottom part of the case.” Auction page.
Given that 50% of used laptops are probably shipping with some level of ponogaphy unintentionally, I guess you might as well advertise it.

*Update - It looks as if eBay already removed the listing, here’s a $199 Dell Mini 9 as a bonus.

Aptera 3-Wheeled Electric Car Gets Driven

According to its manufacturer, the 2010 Aptera 2e will “start at about $25,000 and would travel about 100 miles before its batteries would have to be recharged, a process that could take up to eight hours.” Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.
In almost every state in the union, a motorized three-wheeled vehicle is classed by law as a motorcycle, even if it has a fully enclosed and surprising spacious cabin with front, rear and side windows; two doors; side-by-side bucket seats.

Vista Ultimate-Powered Nintendo Super Famicom

On the outside, it may look like a normal Nintendo Super Famicom console (SNES in the US), but upon closer inspection, you’ll see that it’s a Vista Ultimate-powered computer. Featuring “an MSI motherboard, Intel Core Duo T5500 CPU, and 80GB HDD.” Click here for first picture in gallery.
Today while shooting some pictures in T-Zone we stumbled upon the remains of this SNES and wanted to share these pictures of this ultimate hardcore gamer’s nightmare.

$1.3-Million Super Falcon Submarine

The Super Falcon is a $1.3-million personal submarine that can dive to depths of 1500-feet, thanks to its aerodynamic design and lack of ballast tanks. Continue reading for a short video demonstration. Click here for first picture in gallery.
The project started as custom submarine for venture capitalist Tom Perkins, who wanted a sub for his Maltese Falcon. After that, Hawkes decided to make the design available to other dirty-rich people for $1.3 million each.

Bat Signal Hits Windows 7

Bat Signal is basically “a taskbar thumbnail preview that projected the window you mouse-hovered over up onto the desktop like a spotlight.” Unfortunately, that function is now known as Aero Peek — replaces the projection with a mere thumbnail.
